greedy me

that’s what i think about me now – greedy. i had another fabulous weekend, in contrast to the many emo ones before this. i am grateful, but also find myself asking for more and not wanting the wkend to end.. not wanting the new week to start. actually, now that i counted, i realize tt every weekend for the past 5 weeks hv been great and fabulous in one way or another. see.. i am really greedy.

last sat, we brought the seow kids out to catch “UP”. it was a great time out with them, but i didn’t whip out my camera at all. zach fell ill halfway thru the outing. good thing we managed to bring the children bk without too much hassle. they enjoyed the show, we enjoyed their company. (:

last sun was spent with friends and the SSO at botanic gardens. the music was so good the birds were dancing to it. we bought a whole bunch of stuff impromptu from marketplace tanglin mall for our picnic since we had no time for shopping/cooking prior. not too shabby for a last-min assembled picnic.

post-concert, we had famous rojak and regular tze-char at holland area. hung out for so long at dinner spot that we witnessed coffeeshop go from uber crowded to sparsely populated. we then adjourned to coffee bean for further hangout. we didn’t head home till near midnight. all the teachers amongst us didn’t hv to wake up early the next day, it was almost liberation to them. that following monday, i was hit by the most serious monday blues yet. but i managed. *sigh of relief*

this weekend tt just past was, too, event-filled. (:  we started with the dead sea scrolls exhibition with the cg on fri. we had a mini-adventure of sorts prior to that, what with parking at UE square, dinner at liang court, and walking the remaining journey to the arts house from there. *sweat* my heels almost killed me there. but as he would say, i could have worn flats instead. bleah.

exhibition was alright – content is good, informative and important. however, much more be desired for presentation/layout/display.

supper after was more fun than the exhibition. really enjoyed the fellowship with the cg. we found tt the few of us have got some strange animal-sound-related ‘talent’ or some ‘brokenness’ about us. *chirp²* (bwahaha) i hvn’t quite found mine though. :P

saturday started off with WiC for me, and morning jog for him (i believe). we then headed to JB with 3 other friends and had a fab time there. hung out at Bt Indah Jusco the whole time and brought back loads of shoppin’! i bought enough mooncakes to last me for the next year. granted not all are for me, but still – so sick of choosing kueh bulan. :P

we decided to come bk home for dinner so we headed back after getting starbucks to-go. we got bk and had dinner at this almost ancient restaurant. great food, wonderful company.

and finally, today was enjoyable and fruitful too. it has been a long time since we attended svc without having to rush about or serve. we bumped into one another at the carpark, so didn’t have to call each other. reduced stress there for me, and hence him. :P we signed up for BTW after svc, and he even had time for a leisurely lunch, which we shared with ben, sharon and linus. (:

post-lunch was auditions and prac for christmas carolling. ben, sharon and i joined in and we had our own sectionals. heh! after which, we adjourned to taman jurong macs for drink/snacks. finally, we crossed over to the claypot tur-kwa + porridge chinese restaurant for our dinner. noteworthy: it’s quite the pseudo crystal jade of a place, except cheaper and more out of the way. this time, however, the tur-kwa experience was not as happening as the last.. may not wanna come back anytime soon.

with that, the very nice weekend came to an end. /:  this heightens the likelihood of major monday blues. i thought i had the most serious bout of it last monday. think i’m in for worse tomorrow. yikes!!

my consolation? i look very much forward to the one-week break away from all things and everyone. can’t wait!
